There’s a lot of ways to meditate. Besides using mantras, you could also focus on your breath, music, a real object, a mental visualization, or nothing at all (Zen).

A mantra is usually any repeated word or phrase, but it can also refer more specifically to a word repeated in meditation. Mantra comes from a Sanskrit word meaning a “sacred message or text, charm, spell, counsel.”

Mantras For Meditation yoga

What is a personal mantra?
A personal mantra is an affirmation to motivate and inspire you to be your best self.
It is typically a positive phrase or statement that you use to affirm the way you want to live your life.
Its purpose is to provide motivation and encouragement to you when you need to focus your mind to achieve a goal.

Chant Mantras for Meditation and to Set Powerful Intentions for a Beautiful Day.

Why do we chant OM?
OM is a mantra, or vibration, that is traditionally chanted at the beginning and end of yoga sessions. Coming from Hinduism and Yoga, the mantra is considered to have high spiritual and creative power but despite this, it is a mantra that can be recited by anyone.
As Christian, I personally love this mantra – “Maranatha”: meaning “Come Lord” and understood by some as the final teaching of the Christian Bible.
